"We’ve been using Absolute for asset management..."
We’ve been using Absolute for asset management, and it does cover the basics, but my recent experience with it hasn’t been great. The dashboard has felt slow lately, and sorting through devices can be more of a hassle than it should be. I’ve also noticed some device info that seems outdated, which makes it harder to trust day to day. Support was fine when we reached out, but the response wasn’t exactly fast. Maybe it worked better for us earlier on, but based on how it’s been recently, I expected it to feel a lot smoother for regular use

"It does work with the tools I need..."
It does work with the tools I need, so that’s nice, but the setup felt a little clunkyyy. Not terrible, just not as smooth as I was hoping.

"Support helped us get our compliance..."
Support helped us get our compliance issues sorted quickly. Nothing overly complicated, just the kind of common-sense help you’d expect when you need to get things back on track

"Honestly, painless to get going"
I went into the deployment expecting to be mildly annoyed, but it actually went smoother than I thought. The setup steps were clear enough, and most of our devices checked in without us having to babysit them too much, which was a nice little relief. We did run into a small snag with a few older laptops, but support helped steer us in the right direction before it turned into a bigger headache. It wasn’t perfect, but overall I was pleasantly surprised. I’d give it 4 stars.

"I checked out absolute because I’ve generally..."
I checked out absolute because I’ve generally stuck with brands that have a solid name in this space, and part of me wanted to trust it for that reason. But the more I read, the more unsure I felt. Some people seem to have a perfectly fine experience, but I kept running into comments about support being frustrating and the terms not being super clear. I’m usually loyal once I find a company I trust, so I don’t like writing something off too quickly. Still, for what I needed, it just didn’t feel worth taking the chance

"I used it for a bit..."
I used it for a bit, but I never really felt like my data was totally safe there. Nothing specific happened, at least not that I know of, but it just gave me that feeling, so I kind of lost trust in it. Maybe it’s fine, but I still wouldn’t feel comfortable using it again.

"I felt mentally drained trying to get..."
I felt mentally drained trying to get through the setup. The docs were confusing, and a lot of it seemed outdated, which made the whole process way harder than it needed to be.

"It was okay overall, the support just took..."
It was okay overall, the support just took a while to get back to me and I was kind of waiting around longer than I expected but they did eventually respond and helped out.

"A bit confusing to get around"
I found absolute.com kind of tricky to use. I was just trying to find some basic info, but the layout felt a little all over the place, and a few pages had me clicking around in circles. It does work, but i expected it to be a lot easier to navigate

"Pretty good training resources overall"
The training videos were helpful and easy to follow :) A few sections did feel a bit outdated, but overall I still got a lot out of them!

"Decent for Scaling, but Not the Easiest"
It handled adding more devices well, so I’d say it does the job. That said, the setup and policy changes started to feel a bit clunky once we scaled up. Support was helpful, but getting things sorted took longer than I would’ve liked. Overall, it’s a decent option, just not the smoothest one if you’re growing fast.

"Setup help was mostly fine"
I got some help with setting up Absolute and, yeah, it mostly worked in the end. Support did answer me, which was good, but a couple of the steps were kind of not clear in the moment and I had to spend more time than I thought. It wasn’t a bad experience, just the implementation part could have been more smooth, I guess.

"Support got it fixed, but it took a bit"
I reached out to Absolute support because one of our devices was showing the wrong status. The first response took longer than I expected, and I did end up having to explain the issue more than once, which was a little frustrating.
The tech I worked with was polite and eventually got everything sorted, so I do appreciate that. Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience, but it also wasn’t as smooth as I’d hoped. For me, it lands around 3 stars.

"I’ve been using Absolute for a while now..."
I’ve been using Absolute for a while now, and overall I’m satisfied with it. It mostly just runs quietly in the background, which I appreciate, and it’s made keeping track of our devices a lot easier. I did run into one small setup issue at the beginning, but support helped get it sorted out. It’s not absolutely perfect, but it’s been dependable and I’m happy with it

"We’ve been using absolute at work..."
We’ve been using absolute at work for our laptops, it’s been reliable. I’m usually juggling a bunch of things at once, so I appreciate that the device tracking is straightforward and gives us a quick way to see what’s going on if a laptop disappears.

The remote lock and wipe features have been easy enough to deal with too. We actually had someone leave a laptop in a taxi, and being able to lock it fast made the whole situation feel a lot less chaotic.

It just runs quietly in the background and hasn’t caused any slowdown that I’ve noticed. It’s not fancy or exciting, but when you’re rushed and need something secure to just work, it does the job

"Pretty solid reporting, just a little slow at times"
The analytics are easy to understand, and the reports usually give me what I need. They do take a bit of time to load now and then, maybe more noticeably when there’s a lot of data, but overall it’s been a good experience.

"I had Absolute installed on my work..."
I had Absolute installed on my work laptop, it seemed to make the whole thing feel slower. I can’t say for 100% sure it was the only reason, but startup started taking forever and random apps would lag even when I barely had anything open. I understand it’s there for security, but the day-to-day performance hit was frustrating. I just wish it felt a bit lighter or was easier to manage.

"Worked when I needed it, but I felt a bit misled"
My laptop got stolen and I was able to remote wipe it quickly, which was a huge relief. That said, I did feel a little misled because I expected the whole process to be more straightforward based on how it was described. It worked in the end, but it wasn’t quite as seamless as I thought it would be

"Helpful tracking, with a little suspense"
I used Absolute mostly for device tracking, it did the job... most of the time. It would usually show the general area, which was a relief when I just needed to know roughly where the device was, but it wasn’t exactly the dramatic “pinpoint the target” moment I was hoping for.

Sometimes the location seemed delayed or off by a few streets, which made things feel more like a guessing game than a confident answer. For basic checking, it’s fine, but if the device is moving around and you need real precision, it can be a bit underwhelming. Not awful, just kind of average for what I needed.

"Decent service, but it feels overpriced to me"
In my experience, Absolute is okay overall, but I’m not totally convinced it’s worth the price. It usually does what it’s supposed to do, but for what we’re paying, I personally expected it to feel a little more polished and easier to use.

The support was decent enough, though nothing really stood out to me. Some parts also felt more complicated than they needed to be. I could see it making more sense for a larger company, but for us, it felt like we were paying for more than we actually needed.
